Trip to Bavaria

We spent Monday travelling by bus. The journey was made very comfortable by the friendly and relaxed bus driver. Eight hours travelling seemed to pass by very quickly. Our holiday village in Lechbruck is very cosy and we have a beautiful view of the lake. We are woken in the morning by the sound of goat bells. The students are finding out what it is like to go flatting, only they don't have to cook as we have breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The weather continues to be superb and today we had a fantastic day visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. It was breathtaking and the views from above down over the lake were magnificent. As we have limited access to the computer the students cannot use the internet. They don't seem to have withdrawal symptoms. All are happy and are looking forward to tomorrow's outing to the cheese factory.

  1. Hey,hey..
Just to update all of, NZ is expecting tsunamis and is going to hit Auckland at 11, but shouldn't be too bad! Gisborne is going to be struck badly. We have gotten it from Samoa as they had an earth quake that was at about 8 on the magnitude scale, and has killed people already! But Auckland is going to be very lucky as when we are it, it will be low tide! yay!!

  2. Sooooo envious of you all!! Having been in Bavaria before I just a bright shade of green. It is so beautiful.
Presumably the students still have access to cell phones otherwise they would definitely be in withdrawal!!
The weather continues to be typical Auck spring stuff - lots of heavy showers with some sun.You have a much better deal all round!
    Love your blogs.

  3. Nobody panic, get worked up or stressed. Yes, there was a tsunami in samoa but it didn't hit New Zealand. There were some tsunami warnings broadcasted on radio stations in New Zealand and some people sat on top of the volcanoes for a while, but a tsunami didn't hit New Zealand. New Zealand have given Samoa $1,000,000 dollars in emergency funds to help but the worst seems to be over. New Zealand wasn't hit by a tsunami.
